The EnSpeed SugarCRM Virtual Appliance enables Enterprise Grade SugarCRM in minutes. Download the appliance, start it up under Vmware Server or Vmware player, use the full GUI Virtual Appliance Configuration to configure the Virtual Appliance’s networking, and your SugarCRM instance is ready to use. The instructions and screen captures in this webpage describe the usage of the vmware Virtual Appliance, but the procedure is essentially similar for the Xen Appliance.

4 If this appliance is being hosted in Linux/VMware Server, then register the vmx with the VMware server using the command "vmware-cmd -s register full_path_name_to_the_vmx_file". Use the VMware Server console (vmware-server-console) program that is supplied as part of the "vmware-server-linux-console" package from vmware. Please note that the vmware server web UI, i.e. the vmware-mui package does not work with this Virtual Appliance. The following is a screen capture with the Virtual Appliance running in Vmware Player under Windows XP. Note that the first time boot may seem to hang for a few minutes while starting up sendmail. This is normal and will not happen once networking is configured correctly and functional. The following screen shows the SugarCRM Virtual Appliance configured to use a static IP Address (192.168.1.199).
