Introduction
This document describes how EnSpeed VM Orchestrator may be upgraded without losing any VMs, Virtual Appliances or ISO Images.
Organization of the VM Orchestrator Virtual Appliance
EnSpeed VM Orchestrator is delivered as a Virtual Appliance containing two virtual disks. The first Virtual Disk, named enspeed.vmdk contains the embedded OS and the application software. The second virtual disk, named paging.vmdk holds temporary data that the embedded OS uses. The last disk, named vmrepo.vmdk, contains the database, Virtual Appliance repository, and ISO images.
Upgrading from older versions of the VM Orchestrator
- Download the latest version of the EnSpeed VM Orchestrator
- Unrar the downloaded EnSpeed VM Orchestrator into a temporary directory
- Copy the vmrepo.vmdk file from the old Orchestrator to the new one.
- Start the new Orchestrator VM. Verify that your ISOs, Virtual Appliances and VMs are present. Your upgrade is complete!
